Offline teleconsultation
Even with a freeware version of MIRAX Viewer you are able to participate in a teleconsultation process. Simply register in and log on to PathoNet to access the virtual slide your colleague wants you to form an opinion about. You can even download the slide to your computer. After having the slide reviewed you could give a diagnosis.
For a more effective and comfortable way of teleconsultation use a licensed version of MIRAX Viewer with a license of MIRAX E-Consult. Just viewing a virtual slide can not always be enough, e.g. measuring distances and sizes or attaching bookmarks to a slide may be necessary in order to draw the other participants’ attention to something important. With MIRAX E-Consult this is possible and taking part in the teleconsultation process is much easier and more convenient.

Online teleconsultation
For online teleconsultation (i.e. all the participants view the virtual slide at the same time although they may be located at different corners of the world) you need a full version of MIRAX Viewer and a license of the software module MIRAX E-Consult.
As online teleconsultation happens with the concurrent participation of multiple experts via a virtual slide server (e.g. PathoNet) it can be much more effective than the offline way of teleconsultation.
MIRAX E-Consult offers all the tools you need for an efficient teleconsultation session. The leader of the teleconsultation can be changed dynamically, the pace of viewing can be set, dealing with bookmarks is easy, and a mutual report can be formulated and downloaded.
