1997 3DHISTECH Ltd is founded by Dr Béla Molnár, PhD, a physician at the 2nd Department of Medicine, Semmelweis University, Budapest. Develpoment of the virtual microscope and its software applications begins.

1999 The first order gets in. Ikonisys, Inc., New Haven, CT, a biotech firm purchases 10 digital slide scanners from 3DHISTECH.

2004

Zeiss logo
One of the most important moments of 3DHISTECH: the contract with Carl Zeiss is signed. By giving  distribution rights of our products to the German giant everywhere outside of Hungary 3DHISTECH Ltd finally reaches the world wide market of virtual microscopy.

3DH_prize of innovation

3DHISTECH Ltd is privileged when it wins the Hungarian Great Prize of Innovation for the development and market success of „Digital Histology Laboratory”. The Digital Histology Laboratory is based on MIRAX SCAN.


2007 New hardware and software developments reach the market. 3DHISTECH introduces MIRAX MIDI, a 12-slide digital scanner and TMA Master, an automatic tissue microarray block building machine. As for software we have IH-Lab, HistoQuant, E-School ready for the effective solutions in pathology workflow.

 2007 3DHISTECH Ltd becomes an ISO 9001:2001 certified company.

 2007 Digital pathology teaching starts at the 1st Department of Pathology and Experimental Cancer Research of Semmelweis University, Budapest. E-School and MIRAX digital slide scanner is used.
